Charlotte Obstetric and Gynecologic Associates has provided the highest quality care for women in Charlotte for more than 50 years. Originating with a single physician, the practice has blossomed and matured, now offering a variety of provider options with physicians, nurse practitioners, and certified nurse midwives. We feel that this approach best meets the needs and preferences of each of our patients.
Our practice strengths are numerous and expressed through the knowledge, experience, versatility, variety, commitment, and values of the individuals working here. Some of our providers have worked in academic institutions before arriving in Charlotte and are experienced in teaching future caregivers in our field. Others have practiced abroad in both academic and medical mission settings. All are board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and all are committed to continued physician development, education, and adaptation to the newest cutting edge surgical and medical practices.
The medical care we provide is exemplary and exceeds the standard of care for our specialty. We provide routine services such as annual exams, low- and high-risk obstetrical care, labor and delivery care, adolescent care, gynecology, and gynecologic surgery. We also offer specialty services including: minimally invasive surgical techniques, first trimester screening for early prenatal diagnosis, and the evaluation and treatment of complex gynecology issues such as pelvic prolapse and urogynecologic disorders.
Charlotte Obstetric and Gynecology offers convenient office locations throughout the greater Charlotte area serving populations in the Lake Norman / Cornelius / Huntersville, Charlotte, and Arboretum / Matthews / Weddington regions. In 2008, we expanded to our newest office in the Morrocroft complex which also provides a host of primary care and medical specialists. Our primary office is located in the Women's Pavilion adjacent to the main Carolinas Medical Center location. Here, we also offer access to a large variety of specialty and subspecialty women's services are provided. This allows for convenient and timely referrals for mammography / breast care, maternal-fetal subspecialty care, infertility care, cancer services, orthopedic services, cardiac services, and more.
Charlotte Obstetric enjoys a close relationship with Carolinas Medical Center where we provide both obstetric and gynecological care and surgery. Carolinas Medical Center's labor and delivery services offer uncompromising excellence and commitment to care and have been recognized by J.D. Powers and Associates for these qualities. With our level 1 neonatal intensive care nursery, the new and exciting Levine Children's Hospital, and our advanced medical and surgical adult ICUs, Carolinas Medical Center - main campus is clearly a very comforting place to be for the most minor and uneventful medical event or the most complicated and major medical problem.
